Our Sunday School program offers the opportunity for Christian education for all ages. We have ongoing classes for children and youth. In addition, a series of short courses for adults are offered on a rotating basis. Recent topics have included: the history and culture of Methodism, parenting, the elements of a worship service, medical ethics, living a Christian life, and studies of the Book of James and Book of Revelation.
Our worship services combine music, prayer, and action. The Sanctuary Choir leads most of the hymns and special music, though they are frequently joined by other talented musicians in the Bell Choir and individual soloists. Sermons, prayer, and sharing from lay speakers and other members of the congregation make up the rest of the service. Childcare for infants and toddlers, part of our Safe Sanctuary program, is available during this time, and older children often leave to participate in Young Discipleship programs during the sermon. After the service, please join us for a time of fellowship.
Our church family extends beyond Sunday services. We have a variety of programs coordinated by staff and lay members. These include educational programs, our music ministries, and several outreach programs for serving all of God’s people locally, nationally and internationally.
Through these and other activities, we have remained an active part of the community for over 150 years. To hear more about what we're currently doing, check out the portion of this site.
