Children's Ministries

SUNDAY SCHOOL Coordinated by Church School Superintendent Nancy Anderson, Sunday School is available on Sunday mornings for children ages 3 through 12 th grade from September to June. A life-centered curriculum focuses on contemporary issues and biblical principles. The first Sunday of each month, our Sunday School opens with a Gathering Time Fellowship for the entire Sunday School and their families at 9:00 AM in the Fellowship Room. Gathering Time includes songs, readings (led by older youth), special offerings to support various missions, and prayer. Teachers then accompany their students to their age level Sunday School classes.

For more information, contact Church School Superintendent Nancy Anderson through the main office of the church.

CHILD CARE DURING CHURCH SERVICES

Worship Services:  Families are encouraged to participate in the weekly Worship Service.  Older children are given the invitation to depart during sermon time in order to participate in Young Disciples (coordinated by Marcee Rogers) which provides an alternate worship experience that is age-appropriate for the children. Guided by caring members, participants share the weekly scripture, a related message, songs, and prayers before returning to the Sanctuary for the close of worship.  For those families who keep their children with them for worship but need to step out with them for any reason, the service is broadcast on the speakers in the Fellowship Room for continued listening.

Child Care on Sundays:  For families with infants and young children, child care is available beginning at 9 a.m. until the conclusion of the worship service in the nursery.  You will be asked to sign in your children and leave your cell number with the staff in the event that you are needed.

ACOLYTES, CANDLE BEARERS, USHERS AND READERS Youth ages 10 and up are welcome and encouraged to volunteer to assist as acolytes, candle bearers, ushers, or lay readers for the traditional worship service. Bethany Dresely coordinates the youth acolytes.
