The Giving Tree. This year we will be providing gifts for 50 people, many young adults and children, who are part of the St. Joseph Social Service Center in Elizabeth. All the giving tree ornaments have been selected from the tree! Please return your unwrapped gift in a gift bag (accompanied by the ornament) by Sunday December 6th. If you are able to also bring a small unwrapped toy for a child selected it would be great. Please see Maria Vitale or Vanessa Zimmerman with any questions. We thank everyone for your caring and generosity.

Music at Midday. Our next concerts are Wednesday, December 2, 9 & 16! This series was designed to be a musical lunch break for church goers and non-church goers alike, so please bring lunch and a friend! Proceeds from the free-will offering will go to the organ restoration fund. Each recital begins at 12:00 NOON in the Sanctuary.

Christmas Concert. St. Luke’s United Methodist Church of Indianapolis, Indiana is streaming their Christmas Concert live on December 4th at 7:30 PM. (Church member Kim Corrello is singing!) It’s a wonderful concert with over 200 members singing and the church’s own orchestra. The program, entitled "Night of Wonder – Dawn of Grace" will include seasonal carols and choral classics. Go to www.stlukesumc.com for more information.

All Church Advent Event/Potluck Dinner—December 6, 2015 from 4-6:30 PM. Please join us for cookie decorating, beading, ornament making, walking the labyrinth, and a chance to learn more about the season of Advent. The event begins at 4 PM on Sunday, December 6 in the fellowship room. We will conclude the day with a potluck dinner. If your last name begins with: A-H bring a salad, I-P bring a bread and Q-Z bring a dessert. A choice of soups will be provided. All ages are welcome.

Westfield Food Pantry. Please continue to contribute non-perishable food, personal grooming and baby items. They can be left in the drop-off box in entryway of the church on Sunday mornings or any other convenient time. The Food Bank also accepts checks made out to: Food Bank of Westfield. You can send your check to the church or drop in the offering plate on Sunday.

Counters needed! FUMC needs 1-2 volunteers to count, record and deposit the Sunday offering. This task will require approximately 2 hours of time every third Monday morning. If you are able to help with this important church function, please contact Lyn Walford, church treasurer, by e-mail at glwalford@gmail.com.

New Altar flower chart! The 2016 Flower Chart is posted on the wall outside the church office. You are invited to sponsor flower arrangements ($40 per week) for our worship services each Sunday morning. Please sign up, then take an envelope for your payment and to indicate what reading you’d like to appear in the bulletin. Thank you for providing these beautiful tributes for our services. You may take the flowers home, or leave them to be delivered to our homebound members.

Advent Study - Awaiting the Already: An Advent Journey Through the Gospels

Our Advent Study continues to meet on Sunday mornings from 9:00 – 9:50 a.m. in Room 105. Awaiting the Already will take us on a tour through the Gospel narratives, helping us in understanding which parts of the Christmas story come from which Gospel.
