posted Feb 15, 2013, 12:12 PM by Susan Granski

We would like to feature a collection of crosses in the display cabinet for the Easter season. If you would be willing to lend a cross for the display, please contact Sarah Ashworth at publicity@fumcwestfield.org and bring your cross to church by Sunday, March 16.

FUMC Westfield is now on Facebook. Search for FUMC Westfield, and like our page. We'll use this site to communicate events, have discussions, and keep in contact. Get the word out! Invite your friends to like our page so they can see what great things we are doing here. Any questions, please contact Sarah Ashworth at

Sign up for Altar flowers! The 2013 Flower Chart is posted on the wall outside the church office. You are invited to sponsor flower arrangements for our worship services each Sunday morning. Floral arrangements cost $40 each week to sponsor. Please sign up, then take an envelope for your payment and to indicate what reading you’d like to appear in the bulletin. Thank you for providing these beautiful tributes for our Sunday services.

Photos needed for church website. For several months, a committee has been working to redesign and update our website. Please take a look at:

www.fumcwestfield.org. We would like to include more photos, and we need your help. If you have photos from church activities during the past two years that you think would be great for the website, we need them! Please send them by email to Sarah Ashworth at publicity@fumcwestfield.org. Thank you in advance for helping the website showcase the wonderful things we do at FUMC.

The Family Caregiver's Group continues to meet twice monthly at FUMC on Sunday afternoons from 3:00 to 4:30. We gather with a cup of tea to share experiences, exchange information and to care for and encourage each other. Meeting dates are February 17, March 3 and 24. If you have been considering attending a meeting to experience the kind of support it offers, know that you are most welcome. The group is small and stable and will be interested in hearing about your experience of caregiving. Facilitators are Sue Bottorff and Su Iliff.

Church Family Lenten Potluck Suppers each Wednesday in Lent! The gatherings are scheduled for Wednesday evenings on February 20 and 27; March 6, 13 and 20 and will run from 6:30 – 8:00 PM. Dinner will begin at 6:30 PM in the Fellowship Room. You are invited to bring soup, salad, or bread/dessert as noted in the table below. Bring enough to serve you/your family and 5 - 6 others. Paper goods will be provided. Our post-dinner programs will explore various spiritual gifts and feature members of our FUMC family sharing how they have recognized, embraced, and utilized their God-given gifts to make a difference in the lives of others as they serve God.
