Season of Growth

The period of time in the church year after the day of Pentecost reminds us of how the Holy Spirit worked in and through the early Christians to build the Church.  This season is a time for us to trust that the Spirit is still at work in each of us here at FUMC.  Each Sunday following Pentecost a Season of Growth word announced during worship on Sunday. These words are a way to consider where God is calling you to grow. Unlike our physical growth which ends early in our lives, our spiritual growth is ongoing. But while we do not cause our own growth when we are children, there are things we can do to create an environment for our spiritual development. Each of the words is an ingredient for growth; a way that we can prepare the ground of our lives for God to work in and through us. Season of Growth words: repentance, forgiveness, trust, obey, and hope.
