Non-perishable food donations are needed for the Westfield Food Pantry. Place your items in the bin in the Lobby.

Perennial Flowers, dug from FUMC flower beds, are available after church for a suggested donation of $3 to $8 each. them along the sidewalk to our parking area.

Next book club meeting is TONIGHT at 7pm in the Fellowship Room. The book is The Story of a Happy Marriage by Ann Patchett. Our discussion will be facilitated by Dan Bottorff.

Blood Drive – June 23. Come and donate blood on Monday, June 23 from 2—9:00 p.m. at the NJ Blood Center, 2279 South Avenue in Scotch Plains. Sign-up in the narthex for blood donations or call Randy or Cindy Howell to schedule an appointment at 908-889-6310. Walk-ins are also welcome on the 23rd.

5th Sunday Worship Service. Our June 29th youth-led 5th Sunday Worship Service will focus on hospitality and mission. the service we will dedicate our RISE team and we will once again be blessed with a song by our Cherub Choir, with readings by our youth, and wonderful instrumental and vocal groups. you have not yet signed up to participate during the worship and would like to do so, please contact Patti Merkle (fpmerkle@yahoo.com) or Marcee Rogers (mmrogers93@gmail.com) for the preparation schedule.

Flower Ministry Needs Volunteers! Our flower ministry needs two individuals who can help out on the third or fourth Sunday of each month.This ministry involves subdividing our beautiful floral arrangements following Sunday morning worship.The floral arrangements are typically divided into three or four smaller bouquets which can then be delivered to folks in our church family (shut-ins, those who are in whether at home or in hospital/rehab.We also need folks who are willing to help deliver the flowers on Sunday.To volunteer or to ask questions, contact Su Iliff (908-436-8708)

Vacation Bible School will take place July 21—24 with a Thursday evening program (July 24). If you haven’t registered your child yet, please email Marcee Rogers at mmrogers93@gmail.com or contact the church office 908-233-4211.

VBS Volunteers needed! To volunteer with the program either as part of the planning team or for the week of the program, contact Marcee Rogers (mmrogers93@gmail.com) for more information.

Can you help with Fellowship Time? Janet Poland is still heading up our Fellowship Time and would like some help with this important ministry. There are three ways to help. You can: 1. provide food (bring in food labeled "Coffee time" between Friday and Sunday at 9 a.m.), 2. set up and serve (10:30 to 11:30) or 3. clean up (11:45). See the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in the Fellowship Room or email Stina Nanavati at happystina@aol.com to volunteer!

An Opportunity for the Women of the Church. Would you like to help the girls in the congregation grow their faith? Do you have a great faith story to share?Calling all women interested in working with the girls in the congregation on their faith journey.If you are interested in volunteering, either once or on an ongoing basis, please contact Traci Basaman (tbasaman@gmail.com) or Marcee Rogers.

Family Caregivers Group. The Family Caregivers Group continues to meet twice each month on Sunday afternoons at FUMC from 3:00 to 4:30. If you are providing ongoing care for a family member or spouse, please consider joining this supportive group. Coming meeting dates are: June 29 and July 13, 27. The group is facilitated by Sue Bottorff, LCSW

Craft/Social Group, Wednesdays in July and August. Please join us in the Fellowship Room on Wednesdays in July and August from 1-3 PM. Bring your knitting, sewing and crafts or just join us for social time! We also have some fun projects that you can work on. Hope to see you whenever you can make it!

Quilts needed for display! The UMW is planning to have a quilt show this fall! We need handmade quilts to display for the event. (We’d like to show about 100 quilts!) If you have a quilt and would like to have it shown, please contact Charlotte Broadwell at roger301@yahoo.com.
