Madrigal Singers Concert. Please join us in the Sanctuary TODAY at 4 PM when the Madrigal Singers present "Eight Centuries of Christmas."  Tickets are general admission, $15 (suggested donation), $10 for students and seniors.

New Offering envelopes. Please pick up your offering envelopes for 2014 in the hallway outside the church office.

New Altar Flower Chart is up! The 2014 Flower Chart is posted on the wall outside the church office. You are invited to sponsor flower arrangements ($40 per week) for our worship services each Sunday morning. Please sign up, then take an envelope for your payment and to indicate what reading you’d like to appear in the bulletin. Thank you for providing these beautiful tributes for our services.

Non-perishable food donations are needed for the Westfield Food Pantry. Place your items in the bin in the Lobby.

Wesley Hall Registration. Wesley Hall will soon be holding registration for the 2014-15 school year. In-house registration takes place on January 6, 2014 and open registration begins January 13. Classes are available for children ages 2 1/2 thru full day Kindergarten. Members of First United Methodist Church are eligible to register at any time and receive 10% off of tuition. Calling all writers! A writing group is in the planning stages and is looking for members. All genres and levels of ability are welcome. If you are interested, please contact Mark Sutton (suttonwriter@yahoo.com). Meeting day and time will be set based on everyone’s schedules.

Our next time to host Free Meals will be January 13, 2014. We prepare meals the second Monday of each month September thru June. Although we have a faithful crew, we welcome anyone who would like to come and join us! If you are interested, talk to Dick or Margaret Campbell.

The Noontimers will meet on Friday, January 17, from 12 –2 PM in the Fellowship Room. Our presenter will be Peter Kalellis with the program "The Power of Hope and Friendship." Bring a sandwich and we provide coffee and tea and ice water. The meetings run from 12 PM till 2 PM. Everyone is welcome!

The Book Group will next meet on January 19 from 7-8:30 PM in the Fellowship Room. The book for discussion is "The Ultimate Gift" by Jim Stovall. Gloria Brodersen will facilitate. All are invited to join us. Looking ahead to February: We will be discussing "The Light Between Oceans" by M. L. Stedman.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Interfaith Service will take place on January 20, 2014 at Temple Emanu-El, 756 East Broad Street, Westfield at 1 PM. You are invited to meet at 12 noon at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Monument to march to the synagogue.

FUMC members are invited to attend Wesley Hall School for Early Childhood's presentation of Presley and Melody Interactive Concerts on January 24 at 6:30 PM in the Sanctuary (snow date, January 31). Appropriate for families with young children.To learn more about Presley and Melody, visit www.presleyandmelody.com. Tickets are $4 per person. Registration forms are available in the church office.

Join us for a Square Dance on Saturday, January 25, 2014 from 6:30-8:30 PM in the Social Hall. NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED! Bring the entire family out for an evening of fun & fellowship! No admission charge, but a free will offering will be accepted at the door. We will have a live caller—FUMC’s own Dale Flowers! Children ages 4 and up are welcome. Each child age 4-8 should bring a grown-up to dance with.
