Adult Continuing Education

"Reading Jesus: A Writer’s Encounter with the Gospels" is a new Adult Education Class on Sundays (beginning April 27) at 9:00 a.m. in room 105. Novelist Mary Gordon, in a non-fiction work called Reading Jesus: A Writer’s Encounter with the Gospels (2009), presents the text from several recurring Gospel stories and writes a brief commentary on each from her own perspective. We will spend eight weeks reading selectively from her book and talk about one or two selections each week. It will be an excellent way to look at Jesus’ words with new perspective. Each week ‘stands alone’ so come to as many classes as you are able. See more in the next Messenger.
